SONIDO SAN FRANCISCO
All the way from San Francisco de Asiis, Xonacatlaan; Metepec and San Bartolomee Tlaltelulco, State of Mexico come the creators of the "synthcumbia". Sonido San Francisco is a Mexican band, dedicated to melting folk, tropical, traditional and popular music together, with electronica and other contemporary genres. They officially start playing together on November 29, 2009 and in January 2010 they delivered their first EP entitled "Independencia Sessions". They immediately got invited to the first edition of the -now very well established NRMAL Festival, in March 2010.
In 2014 they dropped the LP "Sentimiento Electronico", recorded and produced by Gerry Rosado at Discos Intolerancia studios, officially released on March 27, 2014, in the band’s third consecutive presentation at Vive Latino Festival (2012, 2013 and 2014 ), the biggest for alternative music and rock in Mexico. This contribution to the new Latin American tropical scene synthesizes the various influences of the band, where electronic music, cumbia and other folk and traditional Latin rhythms coexist in perfect harmony.
