CANDELEROS
Candeleros is a Spanish/South American sextet based in Madrid. Caribbean sounds, especially Afro-Venezuelan and Afro-Colombian, are the backbone of this musical experimentation, resulting in a psychedelic ritual guided by the trance of percussion, drum machines, delays, guitar melodies, and synthesizers.
From the pulsating rhythms of Sangueos and Quitiplas to the energy of Culo e’ Puya and cumbia, mixed with psychedelia, punk energy, and urban rhythms, their compositions are a journey through the rich traditions of the Caribbean and Latin America, passing through vibrant 21st century Madrid, immersing us in an authentic musical ritual at each of their concerts.
